Sparkling reds are quite different from their conventional counterparts -- and even from each other -- so it may not be for everybody. That said, my wife and I really enjoy Wyndham's Sparkling Shiraz (just had the bottle we'd cellared for a couple of years last month to celebrate a graduation) and it's the best of the 4 brands of sparkling shiraz that we've tried thus far. Works fabulously with burgers or pizza, though we first had it with bay bugs in Melbourne and it was light enough to work with that, too.

I had some yesterday.
I have tried red sparkling wines on their own, and with a variety of food. Most are just too sweet.
But they come into their own and are wonderful with a really hot meaty curry - and are horrible with just about every thing else.
It really makes a difference what you drink your wine with.

Unusual does not mean good. This is a bit unusual and a lot bad. Sorry to disagree.

I hadn't tried a sparkling shiraz before this one and I was surprised just how nice it really was! Will buy again.

This is a suprisingly wonderful drink, it presesnts itself full of colour and aromas. It is just a great wine lovers wine, ideal for drinking during the week on own or with friends, really great.
