Blass: Class in a Glass? The 2006 vintage of this wine that I drank at the beginning of the year left me admiring the 'Blass Class': it displayed peachy fruit, savoury oak and the beginnings of a secondary, honeyed character. However, the 2007 vintage that I had recently was disappointing: it still had some of the stone fruit character, the oak flavour was less dominant and there was a lemony freshness to it; however, it was less intense and the acidity was not integrated and tasted like it was the result of 'acid adjustment'. Lots of tropical fruit flavours as well, and its really smooth. It is great to drink very well chilled in good company!
