Good, but mine was corked! I had to get a second bottle at a tasting. And they were very different levels of acidity. A bit too Pinot driven for my tastes, there is better from 1996 (Bollinger and Ruinart are truly wonderful). A good wine, but not a 10. Ruinart comes close though with its BdB 1996. It has to be said that even with the hype surrounding it, it's a fantastic experience. The only word I can use to describe it is autere - like the Grande Dame herself. As you'd imagine, it works on many layers: instantly biscuity and yeasty, with an immensely balanced acidity which makes the mouth water just thinking about it.
