I imagine that any self-respecting Spanish bull worth its salt should have this liquid coursing through its veins. It's big, gutsy and very very red. The flavour is uncompromising and ruthless and doesn't let you go until it's shaken you about like a rag-doll. I certainly imagine it's got a temper on it when it's angry! Had this at a dinner party the other weekend - and my first impression form the pacaging was that it was going to be a pretty dusty, overpowering and traditional-styled wine. Although it is a big and fairly heavy wine - it is a very fruity and gloriously spicy wine with a lot of black-cherry flavours. WE had it with a beef dish, and I have to say that they went really well together. For lovers of more modern Spanish wine which is not Rioja - give this one a go!
