Superb VFM, consistently amongst the best supermarket wines available. Not for lovers of small, well-mannered reds this big mouthfiller has a wonderful fruit base with a variety of complex flavours on the palate and a long finish. This is wine for those who like good, strong tannins and that elusive 'chewiness'. Superb.

One of the best bottles of wine I have purchased in a long time, and at this price its a bargain. You will not want to drink just one glass, it glides down effortlessly. Starts with a wonderfull aroma, full bodied,full of fruit flavour perfect balance of tannins and a long finish that is as smooth as silk.One not to be missed

First made in 1993, this was named after a wine-growing neighbour of Tim Adams’s called Fergus Mahon, who helped him out by selling him some Grenache when his own Shiraz had been all but wiped out by a freak hailstorm. "Intensely powerful, with graceful hints of redcurrants and cherries, and a supple strength in the mouth" (Tesco).
