I appreciate that this is a very expensive wine, but as I didn't have to pay for it, I could appreciate it for what it is. Really refined and well-structured - I really enjoyed the slightly vegetal and savoury characters with slight black-pepper and cranberry taste. This goes really well on its own, but I imagine also goes well with light savoury dishes like charcouterie tapas-style dishes.

I know Burgundy is expensive but I think you're just paying for the name here! I'm not sure I get another £10's enjoyment out of this £15 wine. It looks good and impresses as Nuits St Georges is so prestigious but thats it.
