What a steal! Finally an affordable and decent Barolo! I read a review by Tim Atkin which gave this a good write up, and he was right. It's elegant, aromatic and pretty complex. All this for £12.99. It has so many rich and exciting flavours going on which lead the taste buds into a frenzy of hyperactivity! First off, it's really aromatic, almost like drinking rosewater, which might sound a little but unusual, but is actually very delicous. It's also got a tiny bit of a tar-like aftertaste, which again doesn't sound as good as it actually is. I would buy this wine any day of the week (if I could afford it), but is a staple for special occasions.
