"Why is it good for a wine to be flinty...?" I'm slightly confused by this wine, because I've had it twice and both times it tasted totally different. I tried it at a wine tasting at work, and noted that it was a typical (and very good) example of a NZ Sauvignon Blanc - very sharp, citrusy and refrehing. I had it again in the evening a couple of days later, and tasted less citrus fruits and more tropical flavours and watermelon, not dissimilar to a Chardonnay. A friend's parents recommended it to me and i was a little dubious at first as don't always go for new world wines but they were right! It was nice and crisp with a lot of exotic fruit flavours and what a finish!! I think i could get addicted to this wine!
