Trophy Wine! The 2005 vintage of this wine won a trophy in the Decanter World Wine Awards for 2007 - quite an achievement for the Co-operative that prduced it (Cave de Turckheim). At 3 years old, this wine seemed full-bodied and quite viscous, fairly dry and intensely-flavoured (Turkish delight and spice). The acidity is on the low side of average and the finish is long and lingering. It is a good example of an Alsatian Gewurztraminer; if you don't like it, don't bother trying other examples.
