It's exactly what you expect. Since I read the label and knew that it was a fruity and rather sweet red I am very glad that I got exactly what I expected.
Drink and enjoy.

Firstly it's a Zinfandel which should and does, mean fruity, spicy etc. Half way down the bottle and then reading the other reviews, I then read the label on the rear of the bottle and it says what I was going to say. It would go well with most food but at the moment, I'm reading the weekends' papers and also on the internet (obviously !)

I was prepared to like this wine - but I have to agree with the person who wrote the last review. It's really quite sweet and fruity, not my kind cup of tea at all...in fact I would have preferred a cup of tea. I wouldn't recommend this wine to anyone who likes their wine dry as this will not hit the spot at all. For those perhaps not used to red wine, this may be a good starting point as it's at least accessible.

I found this wine far too sweet and fruit-punch-like for my taste, as I like my wines dry. Maybe I should have read the label more closely, but I thought that wine producers were aware of our taste for dryer-style wine over here as compared to the US. Having said that, I have tons of friends who have tried this and love it, and who go back time and again to re-buy it. So I suppose it's horses for courses...
