Pretty Beaujolais Jadot produces a consistent Beaujolais Villages. It is a nice, balanced, versatile summer red, which can be chilled and paired with fish dishes as well. Compared to some turbocharged new world reds at £6.99, this red doesn't give you the same value for money. However, wine is supposed to be drunk on its own or with food and Beaujolais fits the bill without fatiguing your palate. We drank it slightly chilled with some seafood and it went surprisingly well.
