A great glugging wine I lived in Lyon for a few years and my local wine bar sold this stunner, it was very efficient when served chilled in dousing 40 degree temperatures! It is a nice simple, fruity white wine with good freshness and a hint of oak on a linear medium bodied palate, with a shortish finish. It shows that France is still a winner when it comes to producing balanced and freshly fruited red and whites. All the French need is the confidence is to market what they already have! One of my dads favs that he pulls out for those Sunday family dinners before he starts talking about how long he had to wait in the queue at the post office. Having visited the winery a few years back he swears by Gerard Bertrand wines and I can see why. There's a real umpf to this, something extra that I just can't put my finger on.
