So That's What Happened!
I used to but this from Tescos and enjoyed it a lot. Nice to see it being stocked again. This is better than it perhaps ought to be, a gutsy red with some sophistication that is very gluggable. Not super classy but a solid choice. Good fruit for something so high in alcohol and subtle pepper/spice; longish finish. I like it!

When in Roam!
I read the story of this wine about the goats being sent to the African village and decided to buy a bottle. It's really quite a nice wine - and strangely is in the Rhone style. It's got lovely red fruit and a peppery pluminess to it. It's relatively good value and the name and story are good talking points when with your mates.

Errant goats help orphanage
I'm a sucker for wines with a good story behind them, provided that the wines are good, and this one certainly is. It's a full bodied red, packed with cranberry and blackberry fruit flavours and has a peppery hint too. Now for the story - following on from Fairview Goats do Roam (a blended red inspired by errant goats nibbling the best grapes) Fairview were asked by an AIDS orphanage in Namibia to help them with supplies of Goats Milk. Instead Fairview sent some goats to their Village and named a wine after the venture.
