Surprisingly good value I've never been a huge fan of South African wines and wasn't expecting a lot when purchasing this one on special from One Stop (£3.99) - but it really did serve up a surprise! Not the most serious merlot you'll come across, but it has bags of fruit to enjoy until the last drop! Probably wouldn't recommend paying £7-10 for it though. I didn't have any preconceptions that this was going to be wine of the century - which is just as well. Not bad, quite fruity and easy to drink - actually pretty flavoursome. For people who want something easy to drink in an every-day situation but which won't dazzle the taste-buds, give this one a go. And, did I mention that it's often on promotion?
