Good value pinot noir are few and far between, so this one has earned a solid reputation as one of the better value for money pinot noirs. It shows typical varietal characters and is pleasurable and easy to drink. Rather polished than intriguing, it would be better if it were lighter in alcohol. Serve cool.

Dark ruby in colour with nose of cherries and cream. Sweet smelling. Taste was slightly light with hints of sweet summer fruits. Aftertaste was peppery and smoky. V. Good value

This has been one of my favourite red wines for a long time, and is now also a favourite of many of my friends! It is exactly what good Pinot Noir should be and in all the years I have been buying this wine, it has been consistently great value for money. If you want Burgundian style class in a glass without paying Burgundian prices, then this is the wine for you!

So much better than any entry level burgundy. Such great value, it should be more expensive, but luckily for us it isn’t. Its light and fruity, with good balance, also quite nice slightly chilled in summer. If this wine has gone one draw back, it’s that it is rather simplistic, and one dimensional, without the complexity that point can produce. But at less than £5 I’m not really complaining, its much better than most Burgundy’s at twice the price.

More VFM from Chile! Pinot can be a bit off putting for entry level wine drinkers but you won't be disappointed with this one. Easy to drink, young and fruity but not watery rubbish like you might find elsewhere.

Pleasing pinot at a bargain price but far too young to display the depth of flavour that the awkward pinot noir grape can impart to the finished product. Good VFM, quite drinkable and a good place to start your journey into my personal favourite red grape varietal. Very much an entry level wine but nonetheless well worth a look at if you are new to pinot.

Summer is the time to drink either white wines, light reds or rose. Cono Sur Pinot Noir is more Beaujolais Villages in style than Cotes de Beaune. It is always regular and is seeming to become fruitier and riper as the years pass. It is light bodied with a delicate texture like a white wine with good acidity to delineate its bouncy fruitiness and there is a gravelly, dare I say it terroir element to it if you dip deeply enough into it ! A great all purpose red !

Bought this after all of the storming reviews by other members but found it a very difficult wine to drink - not at all pleasent. Out of all the tasting notes on the bottle I'd agree with "smoky" - trouble is this was all I could taste!
Might go well with the right food - but I wont buy it again!

Had a glass at a party and liked it a lot. Great smoothness and a lot of fruit - I'd happily buy this again and have recommended to all my friends.

If you want to look like you really know your stuff, bring this one along to the next party you go to. It's delicious, with a huge amount of fruit and elegant almondy notes - it looks like you've spent far more than you actually have. It certainly worked for me last weekend, and my friends now adore my new-found wine choosing skills!

I buy this wine whenever I can as it is such a deliciously fruity, light, slightly savoury and well-balanced wine that I always feel that It it should be far more expensive but the supermarkets just haven't realised yet. At the risk of sounding like I work for C Sur, this wine goes with most lightish foods and can even stand its ground with slightly heavier foods - or just glug on its own. I'm a fan! (not literally, although would be useful in the hot weather we've been having)

this puts Burgundies at twice the price to shame, it is rich and full, and really does the job
