Big, but unexciting This Cotes du Rhone has a full body and a rich texture, but it is not very interesting. The nose, the mouthfeel and the aftertaste are all rather bland and inexpressive. It also lacks acidity and as a result it is not vibrant. On the whole it is not an unpleasant wine and can match well red meat, but at this price there is much more interesting stuff. Delicious wine, loads of pepperiness and pluminess and formed a great double act with the venison fillets we had. All in all a pleasurable experience!
