Good, but... This is a very successful wine, as other reviewers and frequent praises in the press demonstrate. I definitely agree that the wine shows good quality, but I am not completely convinced by the style. I find the creaminess and vanilla of the oak too upfront and prevailing. The wine has body, texture, and richness but not much complexity and subtlety. I think it could be better with less american oak. How does the winemaker manage to extract so much character from his Cabernet grapes? It has brash dusty mentholly aromas of blackcurrants, mulberries and hints of cloves. There are also some minerally hints. Its medium bodied palate is couth as well as nicely concentrated, but has some assertive tannins on the medium finish. Excellent value. Maybe the best Cabernet in the world at under six pounds !
