You won't have tasted anything like this before Grenache, Carignan and Syrah grapes are blended before ageing in oak. This produces complex tarry, wild, black fruit flavours. It has long, soft tannins and doesn't really taste like anything else except the Roussillon from where it's made. Hats off to Asda for coming up with this one.
