There are better Riojas but not in the supermarkets This has nice chocolatey herby raspberry and mulberry aromas and flavours. It is medium bodied, with nice linear density, a slight hollowness and a reasonably long and slightly tangy finish. This is not Muga but is not bad. This has concreted in my mind that there are far more impressive and potentially exciting wines from Spain in areas aside from Rioja. Regions which aren't so well marketed are harder to find, but if you want something a bit more origninal - go further afield from Rioja is my advice!
