I definitely agree that the wine shows good quality, but I am not completely convinced by the style. I find the creaminess and vanilla of the oak too upfront and prevailing. The wine has body, texture, and richness but not much complexity and subtlety. Soft, easy to drink and good with food. I tried it at a wine tasting at work, and noted that it was a typical (and very good) example of a NZ Sauvignon Blanc - very sharp, citrusy and refrehing. I had it again in the evening a couple of days later, and tasted less citrus fruits and more tropical flavours and watermelon, not dissimilar to a Chardonnay. Theres a definite flinty aftertaste, and its extremely refreshing.
