tried this wine recently in Spain with pulpo Gallego, quite a spicy (paprika) typical seafood dish from Galicia region. It had good weight to stand up to it and is enjoyable on it's own as well. Quite a different flavour to many whites and worth experimenting with for those who want to extend their white varietals. I see it is currently on promo at Majestic at £6.99 (2 bottles or more) which is a great price. Martin Codax is a reliable producer and in good distribution in the UK. |
