"pleasurable imperfection" - Tesco Finest Oak Aged Red Burgundy

It is rather lean and a little unripe, and nonetheless it is a pleasurable wine, light bodied, fresh, with aromas of red berries and a little smokiness. Food friendly for it has good acidity. The finish and aftertaste are longer and more intriguing than one would expect given that the wine is a light weight and has not a great structure.
