Most Chilean verities of red are produced to be a lot fruitier on the tongue than those produced by are European cousins and these wines seem to be far more in favour with us Brits. Personally I’m no expert but I do love wine that’s produced in Chile mainly because there’s an excellent variety and I’m less likely to pick a bad one as their generally all good. This wine is one of my favourite over the counter Chilean specials, its excellent value for the price and will go down well with just about everyone but the French, but then who the hell cares about the French.
