Since its initial release this has been a real success. The blend of a crisp acid-based Sauvignon and the indigenous spicy Torrontes fills many criteria, from pre-meal tipple (best well chilled) to perfect accompaniment to spiced fish dishes (including curry & Thai fusions). True this wine lacks the finesse of those grapy Alsace wines, but this is half the price of even a base Gewurz. We have had this as our standby house white for some years, and thoroughly recommend it (especially when Sainsbury offers its 25% discount!!).
