"Reliable pinot with great balance" - Montana Malborough Reserve Pinot Noir

This is a cracking NZ pinot noir, its subtle, with great balance. Its not for those who like a big wine that kicks you in the face like an Aussi Shiraz, but its smooth with lots of fruity berry flavours. I think it stands up to anything Burgundy can offer in the same price range, and unlike burgundy it’s reliable and fairly consistent from one vintage to the next.
