A very unfussy very drinkable crisp white from Hungary. Probably a blend of Riesling and Pinot? (....errr dunno really ) with a rapier like nose of elderflower followed by a hint of pine resin.
Brittle crispness on the tongue with vague notes of lime and kiwi fruit leaving you with the impression that you've just eaten a sugar-free Italian granita sorbet.
At under £3.00 a bottle it's probably the best value wine available if you fancy a very, very cheap snort to go with your seafood pasta. Well worth a guzzle or two. |
