"Partners well with Italian food!" - Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet

We went out to an Italian restaurant last night and it was BYO wine. My girlfried picked up a bottle of this for us to try, and at first I must admit that I was a bit iffy about having an Aussi red with delicate Italian food. It did actually work! I had a creamy linguini and so did she, and we guzzled the bottle between us (OK, so I had quite a bit more), and yes I will be getting this wine again!
