"Pretty standard Rioja" - Altivo Crianza Rioja

Nice enough but not overly inspiring as Spanish wine goes. This has concreted in my mind that there are far more impressive and potentially exciting wines from Spain in areas aside from Rioja. Regions which aren't so well marketed are harder to find, but if you want something a bit more origninal - go further afield from Rioja is my advice!
