Retox with the Last Drop!

Well what a year it has been already. With increasing numbers of wine drinkers punishing themselves with a 'dry' January this newsletter if filled with the best deals, competitions, new wines and wine news from all over the world to get you right back into the swing of things.

Looks like you'll need a deal too with The Wine and Spirit Trade Association predicting a price hike of 10% on wines due to poor harvests and rising transport and energy costs. Jeremy Beadles, the Wine and Spirit Trade Association's chief executive, said: "There will be cost inflation in the wine market this year without any doubt at all. Bottles currently on sale at £3.49 will go up to £3.99 and those at £3.99 will go up to £4.49." So support the wine economy and buy buy buy!

While you are at it - we also love this one for the girls. It's a sports bra known as the 'booze bra' which can hold a bottle of wine (750 ml) and has the added benefit of making your chest look larger.

Friends on the vine

Fresh from seeing him at the BBC Good Food Show we caught up with our friend Andrew Peace, winemaker, on his travels between the UK and his family vineyard back in the Murray Valley, Australia - we know where we'd rather be! Read his blog and let him know what you think about his wines.

This time, I'm flying to London with my wife Catherine and youngest son, Austin - he's 10. And whilst they're off taking in the sights, I'll be down at the Emirates Stadium letting you guys taste some of our wines at the Great Australian Wine Experience, a tasting organised by Wine Australia to celebrate Australia Day......"

For the first time ever a glitzy Lovethatwine awards ceremony will take place in London on Monday 14th April when a panel of judges will be blind tasting the top three wines from each of the categories below, to select their favourites from each as well as an overall winner.
