Orange shortlists Naked Wines
Online wine store shortlisted for the Orange Innovation Award 2010 - part of the National Business Awards
The Norwich-based company that describes itself as an online wine market supporting independent winemakers from around the world, was set up in 2008 by Virgin Wines founder Rowan Gormley.
Naked Wines' latest innovation is to offer consumers the chance to buy wines in advance at preferential prices, which the company says offers unknown winemakers 'a risk-free route to market through upfront cashflow and guaranteed sales'.Read more

Malta’s Delicata Wine Festival kicks off next week (5-8 August 2010)
The Maltese will be celebrating the coming wine harvest in Valletta in style next week with the ninth edition of the Delicata Wine Festival taking place at the Barrakka Gardens in Valletta.
Wine makers from Nadur and Gozo, who would have just completed their wine harvest, will be sure to be letting their hair down. They are proud that Maltese wine has come a long way thanks to continued investments.Read more
